BB Energy launches new scholarship at Singapore Management University
BB Energy 20 May 2016
BB Energy, one of the world’s leading independent energy trading companies, has launched a new scholarship at Singapore Management University valued at SGD$10,800.
From the 2016-17 academic year, one student will be sponsored each year and receive financial support for their studies from BB Energy. The scholarship is available to full-time undergraduates enrolled in any degree programme at the university, and aimed at motivating students to achieve academic excellence.
Karim Bassatne, head of corporate communications at BB Energy commented: “As a company we are thrilled to be offering this scholarship at Singapore Management University. We understand the importance of education and are delighted to be able to help someone attend such an esteemed university, which may not have been possible without this scholarship.”
Students must demonstrate financial needs and excellence in areas of both student list and community involvement to be eligible for the BB Energy scholarship. They will also have the opportunity to be offered an internship by the company.
The Singapore Management University is internationally recognised for its world-class research and distinguished teaching. It is currently home to around 9,300 students and is known for its highly interactive, collaborative and project-based approach to learning.
